Prof. Khirsten Scott and PhD student Elise Silva recently won a Year of Data and Society grant. "Data and Information Equity in Homewood" brings together HYPE (Homewood Youth Power Engaged) Media, the Community Engagement Center in Homewood, and scholars and community members who are engaged in social work, Black rhetorics, information science, community-engaged learning, Wikipedia, and radical knowledge equity.

Associated with her graduate course in Automating Writing, Prof. Annette Vee hosted four guest speakers via zoom in Fall 2021, sponsored by the Pitt Composition Program. These were informal Q&A sessions focused on automating writing and computational writing and poetics.
