Nic Marsellas is a teaching assistant professor teaching in composition and gender studies. They earned their PhD at the University of Pittsburgh in 2021, researching in the fields of composition studies, queer theory, trans studies, and critical university studies. Lately they have engaged issues of care, rigor, and authority through street medic pedagogies and BDSM approaches to consent and power. Some of their favorite texts to teach are “Ecomystics and Dreampunks” by Queer Nature, “Love After the End: An Anthology of Two-Spirit and Indigiqueer Speculative Fiction” by Joshua Whitehead, and “Trans Health Science & You” by Nonbinary Zine and Wisconsin Transgender Health Coalition.
