The Composition Program celebrated the end of the year by featuring reflections from our graduates and our Graduate Administrator in 501 Cathedral of Learning on May 7, 2024. We then gathered at The Porch for a reception hosted by the Composition Program.

Featured speakers:

  • Addison Eldin, who defended her dissertation “Undergraduate Writing Pedagogy in an Era of Digital Ubiquity” and is starting at Pitt English as Teaching Assistant Professor in the fall.
  • LJ Woolcock-Srolovic, Graduate Administrator in English and Theater Arts.
  • Jess Batychenko, who defended her dissertation "Teaching and Learning Through Dialog: Oral History Interviewing Methods as Experiential Learning," and is starting as an Assistant Teaching Professor at Georgetown University in the fall.
