I returned to Pitt after receiving my MA from the University of Florida.

My academic interests live in the connections between African-American rhetoric/culture, digital stuff, and pedagogy. My current projects explore the 21st-century processes of writing histories, particularly histories of writing instruction in 19th-century black colleges and universities. Prior to graduate studies, I taught English and research at several city schools in Pittsburgh.
