Nick Marsellas

Teaching Fellow

Nick began his PhD at Pitt in 2015, initially focusing on literature but migrating to composition and rhetoric along the way. His work interrogates ethical dilemmas and opportunities that arise from teaching queer topics in the undergraduate writing classroom. He is also interested in the alt-right’s mobilization of certain ethical principles especially in the context of classroom grievances. At Pitt, his teaching emphasizes systemic analysis, productive uncertainty, and self-directed student learning.
