Nick Marsellas

Teaching Fellow

Nick Marsellas is a PhD candidate in composition and rhetoric at the University of Pittsburgh. His research explores the rhetorical function of care in debates about university education and administration. He examines contemporary ethical issues like trigger warnings, safe spaces, and free speech on campus through the rhetorical framework of care. He enjoys teaching queer topics in the undergraduate writing classroom, and often uses these experiences to better appreciate the ways that students, teachers, and administrators understand what it means to care for a student body.
